The Real Me

Hi Lovely Ladies,

I'm sorry I haven't blogged for a while and I haven't visited with you.
I've been struggling with some things and I know I'm not the only one who struggles with the way I see myself. Just in the past week I've visited with friends I hold very dear to my heart and I know that each one of these beautiful ladies don't like what they see, to me and to many others they are beautiful inside and out. I know that we aren't the only ones who don't like what we see, there are millions of women who dislike them selves and that's putting it nicely.

Below is a video clip and the song brings me to tears because it's like it was written just for me yet I believe that's how others feel who have heard it also.
I desire for my friends, for you and for myself to see ourselves as God sees us to believe Gods truth and NOT the lies of the enemy. Heal our hearts Father teach us how to love ourselves so we can love You with all that is in us. Take our broken pieces and make them whole in You. Set us free from self loathing and mutilating for allowing ourselves to die a little bit more each day instead of living and loving as You do. Help us to see through Your eyes and love ourselves as You love us. Father as we watch and listen to this song and video clip allow it to minister to our hearts let it bring healing to everywhere we hurt, set the captives free. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Lyrics to The Real Me :
Foolish heart looks like we're here again
same old game of plastic smile
don't let anybody in
hiding my heartache, will this glass house break
how much will they take before i'm empty
do i let it show, does anybody know?
chorus:
but you see the real me
hiding in my skin, broken from within
unveil me completely
i'm loosening my grasp
there's no need to mask my frailty
cause you see the real me
painted on, life is behind a mask
self-inflicted circus clown
i'm tired of the song and dance
living a charade, always on parade
what a mess i've made of my existence
but you love me even now
and still i see somehow
but you see the real me
hiding in my skin, broken from within
unveil me completely
i'm loosening my grasp
there's no need to mask my frailty
cause you see the real me
wonderful, beautiful is what you see
when you look at me
you're turning the tattered fabric of my life into
a perfect tapestry
i just wanna be me
but you see the real me
hiding in my skin, broken from within
unveil me completely
i'm loosening my grasp
there's no need to mask my frailty
cause you see the real me
and you love me just as i am
wonderful, beautiful is what you see
when you look at me
